Tofu Akuri


  • 300 gm firm tofu
  • 1 medium onion chopped fine
  • 2 tomatoes chopped fine
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp salt
  • chopped green chilies to taste
  • chopped fresh coriander for garnishing


Drain the tofu and crumble it. Sauté the onions and add tomatoes in a sauté pan on medium heat, for about 2 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients except the garnish. Garnish with coriander and serve warm.


Add mushrooms, chopped zucchini, bell peppers or vegetables of your choice.

Replace coriander garnish with parsley for a more western flavour.
