Cracked Wheat Porridge with Coconut Milk & Ginger


  • 4 tbsp cracked wheat flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp date paste
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • melon seeds

Mix the cracked wheat and water till there are no lumps and cook for about 5 minutes on a medium flame till the cracked wheat is cooked. Stir briskly all the while. Add date paste and ginger and turn off the flame. Top with coconut milk and melon seeds. Serve.


Replace cracked wheat with ragi.

Replace ginger with cinnamon & cardamom.

Replace coconut milk with soy, nut or rice milk.
