Tofu Mayonnaise

This recipe uses no oil and no eggs. It has zero cholesterol and is high in taste.


  • juice of one lime
  • ½ medium size onion
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp tahini (sesame butter)
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp mustard or ½ tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp date paste
  • 100 gm tofu (½ packet silken tofu)
  • soymilk if needed


Mix all the ingredients except tofu in the blender. When blended add tofu and blend again. Taste. Add a bit more lemon or salt if needed and stir. If it is too thick add 1-3 tsp of soymilk. Store in the refrigerator for no more than a week.

Serves 6-8.
