Description
My mother died of cancer when I was just 25 and she only 50. I understand how devastating cancer is, how much fear it invokes and the suffering involved.
Cancer, which was a rarity in the past, has become ubiquitous now. Almost everyone has a family member with cancer. The treatment is as painful to the body as it is to the pocket, and it looks like there’s really no way out. On hearing the name cancer, family and friends want to try everything. Everyone becomes a therapist or counsellor.
I believe that we should know everything about this dreadful disease so that we can prevent it before it even happens. And if it has already happened, we should be able to carefully select the most appropriate line of action.
Join me, Dr Nandita Shah for an informative talk to clearly understand what cancer is exactly, why it is so common these days, what you can do to prevent it, what chemotherapy and radiotherapy actually are, how they help in treating cancers and their pros and cons, and what you can do to heal effectively whether you are undergoing conventional treatment or not.
This is a free informative talk open to all with the hope of reducing cancer rates and promoting survival.
Time: 12.15 to 1 pm
This is a free talk but Registration is must.
