ABOUT US HEALTH PROGRAMMES RECIPES RESOURCES

From the desk of Dr Nandita Shah

Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto conducted an experiment where he discovered the positive words spoken to water created beautiful crystals, while negative words resulted in distorted crystals. Our body is made of 70% water, hence each thought creates an effect.

Dr Deepak Chopra described an experiment in his book, Quantum Healing, where a blindfolded person was told that a red hot coin was put on his skin when infact the coin was at room temperature. The person still developed a burn in that spot.

Chris Wark in his book Chris Beat Cancer talks about one of the most important factors in healing cancer is having the will to live. It is hard to recover from cancer if the patient doesn’t have the will to live or doesn’t think he will make it.

Our thoughts may actually create our reality! Yet, all too often, our thoughts can be negative. This is true for most of us, but with a conscious effort we can change that.

We have some amazing new events lined up for you in the coming week! For International Yoga Day, we have a special Mudra Healing session. We are also launching a WhatsApp series on The Most Nutritious Foods on the Planet plus our very new event on Gut Health.

The Power of I AM

Thoughts & Health – is there a Connection?

Scientists have researched that an average human being thinks about 50,000 thoughts a day. Out of these, how many thoughts are useless, negative and waste? How many are positive and empowering!

Read on for some tried & tested tips to help you become thought aware.

1. Have a Goal

Life is not just about working, eating, drinking, partying and having fun. There has to be a purpose to your existence. Then only will the mind be directed towards productive thinking. Otherwise, they say that an idle mind is a devil’s workshop.

2. Attitude of Gratitude

Those who are truly grateful, rarely complain. Gratitude is a practical method of training our mind into looking at the positive. Make a list of 5 things that you are grateful for every day. Before having your meals, express gratitude for the sustenance that you are receiving. Make the attitude of gratitude a habit.

3. Affirmations

Affirmations are a collection of consciously chosen phrases stated either aloud or in our mind internally and repeatedly with complete conviction. This is actually akin to designing your life. Choose the right words to create your amazing destiny.

4. Meditation

Meditation is the art of directing your thoughts to a higher dimension. This is a key practice to become thought aware.

5. Attend a Spiritual class

True liberation is actually from our thoughts. Spirituality teaches you the art of thinking right. And it acts as a mental fitness workout. The more regularly you do it, the more the results.

6. Reading

Two books that are highly recommended – You can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay and The Power of One Thought by Sister Shivani. Don’t just read them; make notes of your own from every chapter. It helps!

7. Give back to Society

Money is easy to give, however when you give your time and effort to a cause, you are rewarded manifold. Not only does this bring in learning and gratitude, it also makes us so much more aware.

8. Learn or Do something New

Get into a hobby or do crosswords, puzzles, sudoku etc. Join a creative writing club, get into singing, travel to distinct places, learn a new dance, change your exercise routine, cook new recipes, join interesting classes…the world is yours to discover!
