From the desk of Dr Nandita Shah
I used to love to travel and holiday. I now realise that the happier you are with what you are doing the less is the need to get away from it all! Yet travelling certainly gives us family time, and the possibility for growth as it enables us to view the world from fresh perspectives.
If you are following SHARAN lifestyle, travel may feel like a bit of a challenge. It may feel like a deprivation not to try local dishes and flavours. Luckily almost every place has local dishes that are vegan and also a fair number of vegan restaurants to choose from. You probably have to compromise on the whole and organic aspects in order to maintain peace of mind.
Currently I am travelling to the US with my 90-year old father, who first became vegan for ethical reasons. The health benefits are obvious. He is independent and medicine free! It needs some effort like carrying food during travels, but the pleasure of not having to worry about health, tests and doctor’s appointments more than makes up or it. And staying on track is getting easier as the number of vegans grow worldwide.
If you, too, would like to prioritise health while travelling, I hope this newsletter will help you carefully select the destination or resort or take a plant-based tour. SHARAN, too, offers retreats, and many have remarked that these have been their best holidays. After all, health is true freedom in the journey of life.
Check out the best health holiday ever, which will ensure fun, awesome food, lots of learning, healing, swimming, hikes, town visits, movies, cooking demos, massage & more! Plus this holiday you will come back healthier, happier and not looking for another holiday! Click here for detail
