From the desk of Dr Nandita Shah...
|
When we fall ill, our first instinct is often to reach for medication or consult a doctor. We place immense trust in doctors and pharmaceuticals to make us well. And while medical intervention can be necessary, we tend to view symptoms as the villains—something to eliminate at any cost.
But here’s a different perspective: your body is always working for you, not against you. Symptoms are your body’s way of communicating that something is out of balance. They’re not enemies—they’re messengers, signals urging you to pay attention and make changes. Rather than seeing illness as an inconvenience, what if we saw it as a wake-up call—an opportunity to pause, reflect, and take better care of ourselves?
Medications may offer temporary relief, but true healing comes when we address the root causes—whether they lie in the physical, emotional, or mental realm. By listening to your body’s signals and making the right changes, you can not only prevent recurring illness but also build long-term resilience and vitality.
Let’s shift from a short-term fix mindset to one of lasting well-being. We have been helping people prevent and reverse lifestyle diseases for 20 years. Are you ready to take charge of your health?

Understanding Symptoms: A Guide to Listening to Your Body
Below are some common symptoms and what they might be telling you. This is just an overview—your body’s signals are unique, and the more you tune in, the better you’ll understand them. By seeing symptoms as guides rather than enemies, we empower ourselves to make meaningful, lasting changes. Tune in. Trust your body. And take one step closer to the vibrant health that is your birth right.
1. Digestive Issues
Often linked to poor eating habits. Are you eating in alignment with what nature intended? Unlike carnivores, humans can’t digest raw meat easily, and dairy is biologically designed for calves—not humans. Our bodies thrive on fibre, which is found only in plant-based foods.
2. Respiratory Problems
Mucus build-up is commonly associated with dairy intake. Additionally, your body may be working to eliminate toxins. Are you exposed to air pollution? Consider ways to reduce environmental toxins in your surroundings.
3. High Blood Pressure & Cardiovascular Concerns
These often stem from arterial blockages caused by fat and cholesterol. Does your diet include oil, ghee, butter, or animal products? Reducing these could make a significant difference.
4. Joint & Back Pain
While sometimes due to injury or overuse, pain can also result from poor circulation caused by arterial blockages—again, often linked to dietary fat.
5. Headaches
Could be a sign of dehydration, lack of sleep, or both. Are you giving your body the rest and nourishment it needs?
6. Fever
This is your body, raising it’s temperature in order to prevent an invading organism from multiplying. The fever is protective rather than harmful, and once its need is over your body will come back to its natural temperature.
7. Memory Loss
Impaired blood flow to the brain—often caused by fat blocking small vessels—may be a factor. Another reason to re-evaluate your diet.
8. Depression & Anxiety
We experience emotions through hormones like adrenaline and cortisol or serotonin and dopamine, and so do animals. Animals raised for food often experience intense stress—and animal products eventually carry those stress hormones. Even in small amounts, they can affect your emotional state.
