Trust you have clicked Yes to all the checklist points given to you on Day 7 of Week 1. If not, please wait, start implementing and then continue with Week 2. If we want to experience change, we need to make the necessary changes.
The checklist is once again given below for your perusal.
The focus of today’s session is cleaning up the kitchen. Let’s start with a very important category explained by our nutritionist Madhura.
So, head to your kitchen and remove all the packaged & processed foods you can find. Also pick up two of your favourite packaged foods and read the ingredient labels!
List down the ingredients of any one of your favourite packaged foods and do an internet search on the ingredients that you may not understand. List out in your book all that you have learnt.
Like your car, your body deserves the best fuel. Would you fuel a car that runs on petrol with diesel? Don’t we take better care of our cars than our bodies? Make sure to only fuel your body with high quality foods for optimum health.
Take a garbage bag and just THROW the packaged foods in it. Why give it to someone else when you know it will be harmful to them too? If you are living in a joint-family where that is not possible, then store all these chemical laden foods in a cupboard which you will never open!
Last week we talked about whole foods. Today let’s learn how to cook without oil, ghee, butter or any kind of fat.
Oil
Oil is 100% fat and contains no fibre. Refined oil is extracted with the help of solvents which means it contains chemicals. Although it has a longer shelf life, it just adds to your body weight and blocks your arteries. It’s super easy to cook without oil. Don’t worry, you will get all the fat that you need through whole foods like coconut, peanuts, mustard seeds, sunflower seeds etc along with the protective fibre.
The following recipes will teach you the techniques of oil free cooking. You can then apply these to any recipe.

An Oil-Free Bhindi – how to fry onions without oil and make an oil-free dry vegetable dish, replacing oil with grated coconut, roasted crushed peanuts or roasted crushed sesame seeds:
