Tofu French Toast

Western style breakfasts need a bit more innovations to make them vegan and healthy. Here are some ideas.


  • 250 gm tofu
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp date paste
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 banana
  • 6 slices of whole wheat bread


Mix all the ingredients except the bread in a blender until smooth. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish; dip the bread, and cook on a hot pan or in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C for 5 mins, turning once when the edges begin to brown.
Serve with fresh berries or date syrup.
