Moist Chocolate Cake


  • 1 ½ cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¾ cup jaggery
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla essence
  • 1 cup coconut milk


Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C and prepare a 30 cm square baking pan with grease proof paper. Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. In a separate bowl mix the jaggery, vanilla essence and add the soy milk and vinegar. Stir this into the dry ingredients gradually and mix well. Bake this for 30 minutes.

You can also make muffins with this mixture, but bake them only for 20 minutes.
