Green Rice


  • 1 bunch of coriander leaves
  • ¼ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ lemon juice
  • salt
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup whole brown rice
  • roasted garlic cloves
  • chopped dry red chilies


Wash and soak the whole brown rice for about 8-10 hours in 2 ½ cups water. Cook the rice.

Make a chutney in the grinder with all the other ingredients except the onions.

Brown the onions without oil. Add the chutney and roast. Mix it with the cooked rice. Garnish with roasted garlic cloves and chopped dry red chilies. Serve hot.
