French Toast


  • 3 cups soy milk
  • ¼ cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 2 tsp date paste
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 8 – 12 thick slices of bread/baguette

For Syrup

  •  2/3 cup + 2 tbsp apple strawberry juice
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp date paste


 For French Toast

Whisk all the ingredients for french toast, except the bread. Soak the bread slices in the mixture until soft. Cook each bread slice on a skillet until both sides are golden brown and crispy, 5 – 7 minutes per slice. Serve warm with the syrup.

For Syrup

Combine 2/3 cups of juice with the strawberries and cinnamon and bring to boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes. Add date paste to the leftover juice and simmer. Stir both juices together till they thicken. Serve hot over French toast.
