SHARAN is looking for a Healthy Cooking Instructor

JOB DESCRIPTION

SHARAN's Goals : Education in the fields of Natural Health, Animal Rights and Organic Farming.

We are looking for a candidate for the post of a healthy cooking instructor and trainer

Qualifications -

The applicant should be

- A vegan or aspiring vegan

- Who would like to spread the message of veganism as a means to help prevent and reverse diseases

-  Who has basic knowledge about veganism and its connection to health

- Has a good command over the English language as well as Hindi. Knowledge of Gujarathi would be an asset.

- Has the ability and desire to work on his/ her own

- Has excellent cooking skills, organizational skills and public speaking skills, and has basic computer skills - browsing, word processing, and emailing

- Medical, or paramedical background would be an asset.

The candidate will be initially trained in Auroville, TN where accommodation and living expenses will be paid. The duration of the training will be 2 months or less depending on the background knowledge of the candidate. This could start from Nov or Dec 2009 and latest Jan 2010.

After this, the candidate will be in Ahmedabad for 1 year where a salary will be paid and accommodation will be looked after. This is where the candidate will be conducting cooking classes, training other instructors and will be also getting trained further.

After this the candidate will be the trainer of other candidates in order to have these healthy cooking classes available all over India.

The selected candidate will benefit personally from the training given to him or her and will continue to be employed by the organization in the future.  After the one year period in Ahmedabad, the candidate will be allowed to decide where he or she would like to be based out of.

The candidate will be working 40 hours a week on flexible terms.

Salary will depend upon skills and experience.
