Dahi Wada


Ingredients



  • 1 cup chauli (black eyed beans) soaked overnight

  • ginger chilli paste

  • salt to taste

  • optional – grated lauki


Method

Grind the soaked chauli in a blender to make a smooth paste. Add ginger chilli paste, salt and lauki, shape and place in a steamer leaving space for them to swell. They are ready when you put in a fork and it comes out clean.

Pour peanut or soya yoghurt on top and serve with date tamarind chutney, garnished with fresh coriander, chilly powder, jeera powder and salt.
