Soy Kheema

Ingredients



    • 1 cup soy granules boiled and drained

    • 100gm green peas

    • 2 boiled and cubed potatoes (optional)

    • 2 large onions chopped

    • 2 small pieces Cardamom

    • 1 star anise

    • 1 red chilly

    • 5 cloves of chopped garlic

    • 1 tsp chilli powder

    • ½ tsp jeera powder

    • 1.5 tsp coriander powder

    • garam masala powder (optional)

    • coriander leaves for garnish

    • salt to taste



Method

Heat a pan, add the cardamom and star anise and roast over a slow flame. Add the onions and slow fry till pink. Add the red chilly and garlic and fry a bit. Add the powders and mix well. Add the green peas/potatoes and fry. Add the granules, mix well. Add enough water to cover the kheema, bring to a boil and add salt. Lower the flame till the water is absorbed and then cook it on a medium flame till dry.
