Dal
Ingredients
- 1 cup tur dal (pigeon pea) or any other lentils cooked
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp asafoetida
- 1 green chilli, finely chopped
- 1 tomato
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- sea salt to taste
- 1 cup water
- juice from 1/2 lime
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
Method
Temper the mustard seeds, cumin seeds till they begin to splutter. Add in the tomatoes, green chilli and cook it a bit. Add in the dal, turmeric and some water and bring to a boil. Add salt and garnish with chopped coriander and lime.
