Bhendi Kadhi
Ingredients
For the Gravy
- ½ kg bhendi steamed and kept whole
- ½ cup soy yogurt
- ¼ cup coconut grated into a smooth paste
- 2 onions with sprinkling of kaju steamed and ground
- dhania and red chilli powder
- kadi patha roughly ground
- salt to taste
Method
Boil 4 cups of water with haldi, red chilli powder, salt, dhania powder. Add the steamed onion paste. Allow to boil and add the coconut and kadi patha paste. When it boils add the soy yogurt and salt and stir well.
Pour this gravy on the steamed bhendi and serve hot. Garnish with coriander leaves.
