Braised Cabbage
Ingredients
- white cabbage
- sunflower oil
- flour
- vegetable stock/apple juice
- lime juice
- salt & pepper to taste
- nutmeg
Method
Finely shred a head of white cabbage, sauté in some sunflower oil until cabbage is slightly browned but not burned.
The cabbage should be nearly cooked at that stage. Dust with a bit of flour, keep stirring to cook the flour, add some vegetable stock or apple juice and simmer for a few minutes.
Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Add a sprinkle of lemon juice, serve.
