Chocolate Mousse with Agar agar

Ingredients



  • 1 litre soy milk

  • 10g agar agar

  • 3-4 tbsp cocoa powder

  • maple syrup to taste



    • Method

      Blend the cocoa powder, maple syrup and 2-3 tbsp of soy milk in the bowl you want to set the mousse in.

      Soak the agar agar for 5 minutes and then wash it 2-3 times.

      Boil the remaining soy milk. While it boils add the agar agar and keep stirring till the agar agar dissolves completely. Switch off the gas. Strain the milk and pour directly into the cocoa mix while stirring continuously.

      Allow the mixture to set in the fridge. This will take 30-45 minutes.
