Muesli

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups wheat flakes
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup barley flakes
  • ⅓ cup sunflower seeds
  • ⅓ cup pumpkin seeds
  • ⅓ cup watermelon seeds
  • ⅓ cup chopped dates
  • ⅓ cup black raisins / chopped figs
  • ⅓ cup chopped pistachios
  • ⅓ cup chopped almonds
  • 2-3 tbsp date paste
  • 1½ tsp lemon juice / 100 ml orange juice
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder

Method

Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Add date paste, lemon/orange juice and cinnamon powder to the dry mixture and mix well. Spread on a baking tray, and bake in a preheated oven at 170 °C for 25-30 minutes. Store in an airtight container.

Serve dry as a snack or with soy/nut/coconut milk for breakfast.

Makes approx. 5 cups
