Methi Thepla**


Thepla is generally a spiced roti, which sometimes has leaves of fenugreek or other herbs.

Ingredients



  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • ½ cup fresh methi leaves (fenugreek leaves)

  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder

  • ¼ tsp dhania

  • ¼ tsp jeera powder

  • ¼ tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 pinch asafoetida

  • salt to taste

  • 1 tsp oil


Method

Clean and thoroughly wash the methi and chop it finely. Add all the spices and oil and mix well. Mix in the whole wheat flour and water and knead it into a dough. Make small balls and make into six inch round flat breads by hand or roller pin. Cook on a tawa on both sides.

Serves 2-3.
