Whole Wheat Roti **
Ingredients
- 1 cup of whole wheat flour
- 1 cup of warm water
- salt
Method
Take the fresh flour of the whole wheat flour and mix with warm water, adding a bit of salt to make a firm dough. Make small balls and roll out into six inch round flat breads by hand or with a rolling pin using a generous amount of flour to prevent sticking or else pat out the roti on a piece of plastic, so that it is easy to move to the tawa (cast iron or non-stick pan). Cook and turn over and then inflate like you would a roti (chapatti).
Serves 2-3.
