Bajra Roti / Jowar Roti **
Ingredients
- 1 cup of bajra/ jowar flour
- 1 cup of warm water
- sea salt to taste
Method
Take the fresh bajra / jowar flour (millet) and mix with warm water, adding a bit of salt to make a firm dough. Make small balls and roll out into six inch round flat breads by hand or with a rolling pin using a generous amount of flour to prevent sticking or else pat out the roti on a piece of plastic, so that it is easy to move to the tawa (cast iron or non-stick pan). Cook and turn over and then inflate like you would a roti (chapatti).
Serves 4-6.
