Whole Wheat Bread **
Ingredients
- 1 kg multi grain atta (whole wheat flour)
- 1 packet dry yeast
- salt to taste
- warm water
Method
In a bowl of lukewarm water add the dry yeast with a pinch of sugar and atta for the yeast to rise. Allow the yeast to get frothy. This will take 5-10 minutes.
Place the multi-grain atta in a bowl and make a deep well the middle. Pour the yeast in. Knead the atta into a soft dough with warm water. Add salt while kneading. Cover the dough with a wet muslin cloth and leave in a warm place for the dough to rise.
Place the dough into a baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven. You will know the bread is done when you insert a knife into it and it comes out clean.
