Report on the 11th International Vegan Festival
Nandita attended the 11th International Vegan Festival in Murdeshwar from 30th Sept - 6th Oct. It was in a vegetarian hotel on the seaside where they served only vegan food for the duration of the festival. The organizer, Shankar Narayan, organized the whole event almost single handedly. There were a host of lectures by Indian and international speakers on various topics of interest and gave insights into how different groups are working to spread the vegan message. There was also included a peace march, sightseeing trips and entertainment programs.
