Fantastic Vegan Guest House in Germany
After all the workshops and seminars I stayed for 2 days in a vegan guest in the Allgau region of Germany. It was run by a young couple - Torsten and Edita - who have a son, Kevin. They were vegetarian and turned vegan because Torsten was influenced by some books about the health aspects of a vegan diet.
Kevin celebrated his 6th birthday while I was there and is a very healthy boy. He has not had any vaccinations. Torsten and Edita said that while the other kids in the kindergarten got the flu and other problems, Kevin was rarely sick. They also said that Kevin had tasted non-vegan food with his friends - meat, eggs, cheese and milk - and never liked any of them. He knows by himself that he wants to be vegan.
Both Torsten and Edita said that becoming vegan changed their perspective on animals, whom they consider as fellow beings on the planet. The guesthouse is filled with their gentle energy and love. The surroundings are also spectacular: hills, small villages and snow topped mountains just in front. Of course not all the people are like Torsten and Edita ,and there are lots of cows and sheep farmers around. Torsten taught himself to cook and its evident he really enjoys his work. His food is amazing. Their 13-year-old dog is also vegetarian and healthy. I strongly recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wants a nice peaceful holiday in Germany. See Gaestehaus Rita or write to info@gaestehaus-rita.de Torsten speaks very good English too.
