Vegan cooking classes

SHARAN will regularly hold Vegan Cooking Classes in Auroville during the next months. Rithika Ramesh, cooking instructor, will conduct these classes under the name Healthy Kitchen. We may also be having a few guest instructors.

Participants learn how to cook vegan meals with minimum oil and refined products and also learn about the many alternatives for commonly used dairy and animal products. Everyone enjoys a healthy and delicious meal together afterwards.

The Healthy Kitchen presents the last cooking class for the season:

One Pot Meals

What are one pot meals? These are simple complete meal ideas for when you have guests over or want to cook a great meal for your family and don't have much time. Each of these items is a complete healthy meal by itself and is simple to make.

A vegan cooking workshop with Dr Nandita Shah

Date: Wednesday 24 February 2010 from 4:30 to 6:30

Where: Aurelec Cafeteria, Auroville.

Menu: The Complete Meal Salad, Chili Bean Soup, Khichdi with stuffed vegetables, Red Thai Vegetable Curry with steamed whole rice, Dessert (this last item is not a complete meal but just something to finish our meal with)

We serve everything we make and its usually enough to make a filling meal for all the participants. We suggest a contribution of Rs 250, but participants are free to pay less or more according to their capacity.
